Game of Humboldt, the unoriginal, unimaginative drearies

I think to make the Humboldt Board of Supervisors meeting more interesting, there should be a theme with a recap of each episode. 

I thought of making today's meeting a Game of Thrones episode assigning characters to all the attendees but Humboldt BOS meetings are dull. 

This is why I prefer covering court over politics. 

Since the BOS and County department heads want to behave like schoolyard bullies and act like children, they are getting grades as if they are in school.

Tabatha gets a A+, Bushnell a F, Kent a C at today's Board of Supervisors meeting.

Everyone in the County should take a lesson from Tabatha Miller,Assistant County Administrative Officer/Chief Financial Officer who gave a concise, informative presentation at the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors today. 

Second District Supervisor Michelle Bushnell a F because she rudely interrupted Humboldt Auditor Controller Karen Paz Dominguez during a presentation.  BOS chair and Fourth District Supervisor Supervisor Virginia Bass had to tell Bushnell she would have a chance to present the additional information later. What is with Bushnell being submissive to First District Supervisor Rex Bohn and allowing him to ask his question first even though it was her turn and she was acknowledged by the Chair.  

Frequent public commenter Kent Sawatzky gets a C for being more polite than he usually is and not naming anyone except he blew it immediately by saying, "You can thank me Virginia." Meetings were considerably shorter when Sawatzky was away recently or not commenting on every item. He changes which Supervisor he supports depending on what he wants to comment on that day.

The same shtick of how many agenda items can we add about the Paz Dominguez and repeat the same information is lame. Everyone except Paz Dominguez participating in today's charade, I mean meeting, gets a F. 

Swaying elections for your preferred candidate by using the BOS meetings to repeat the same claims for the nth time is a no no Rex and Michelle and the rest of you going along because you don't want to do things. 

Atleast most of the yes men and women department heads were not rude like DHHS Connie Beck, Michelle Stephens and "Kelly" sitting behind them who kept talking throughout the meeting and various presentations. Maybe don't pay Connie, Michelle and Kelly for sitting around all day at a meeting until they learn manners and respect. Why don't they Zoom in and work for their salary paid by taxpayers. DHHS is not needed there all day.

Option 3 regarding Payroll is unique to Humboldt. No one does that said Tabatha. I am shocked she was allowed to say that or was that an ad lib?

If you want the facts and complete information on the $28 million reconciliation, watch the meeting video. That was addressed despite the effort to interrupt Paz Dominguez.  

She actually listened to the BOS and presented specifics of how she is improving communication. They don't care what she does. She does not rubber stamp and wants to provide transparency to the public about our money. Paz Dominguez was polite today. That does not matter. The Humboldt cabal will keep bullying because they are used to getting their way with most people.
