Will Melissa Johnson's plea go through the second time?

(Keener)

(Johnson)

On April 5, I reported about a plea by Melissa Johnson which was withdrawn. The preliminary hearing for Johnson and her co-defendant convicted sex offender Von Keener's was continued to this morning. Details were covered in the last post.

Once again, Johnson is expected to plead and resolve her case today.  Once again, there was a continuance requested by defense which was granted. Setting of preliminary hearing is scheduled for 5/10.

Melissa Johnson and Von Keener are charged with unlawfully harboring, concealing, aiding Mauricio Johnson with intent that he may avoid arrest, trial, conviction and punishment for homicide.

Johnson is represented by Ms. Kathleen Bryson. Mr. Joe Judge represents Keener. He was not in court today and Ms. Bryson appeared for him.

Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees is the prosecutor for this case and was the prosecutor for the Mauricio Johnson case.

5/10: Preliminary continued to 6/16.
