I am not going to do a detailed post on Ryan Tanner who was scheduled to be sentenced today. It is a stipulated sentence. I did a detailed post on March 25 where I reported live and was the first one to do so about Tanner's plea. The DA's press release on the plea and sentencing was also very comprehensive. There is no need to do a whole new post today.
While victim impact statements are important and cathartic, people are free to attend court for any case.
There isn't a shortage of original news and other court cases to cover in Humboldt. Time and management and what gets priority in coverage is a part of live, breaking and a 24 hour news cycle.
