A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 23 to honor fellow Soroptimist and Past-President of our club Donna Wright. The event will be held at the Sequoia Conference Center, 901 Myrtle Avenue in Eureka, from 11AM-2PM. It will be hosted by Soroptimist International of Humboldt Bay and friends of Donna and Phil Wright.
We will celebrate the bright light that was Donna and we will do it with joy and laughter, songs and stories as we say goodbye to our unforgettable friend. Friends, colleagues, members of the business community, and others who would like to celebrate the life of Donna Wright are invited to attend. On April 11, Eureka Chamber of Commerce released the following statement:
"It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Donna Wright, CEO and President of the Greater Eureka Chamber of Commerce. Donna’s leadership at the Chamber for the past five years has been transformational for the community. Her passion for being a catalyst for business growth, a convener of leaders and a champion for a stronger community has enriched us all."
"A special thank you to the first responders of Eureka, whose assistance is greatly appreciated. Our deepest sympathies are with her family and all those who loved her."
