Byron Titus, Jr. was finally sentenced today. Mr. Zach Curtis tried to continue sentencing again today. Judge Gregory Elvine-Kreis denied the defense motion after argument by Deputy District Attorney Luke Bernthal.
Mr. Bernthal told me, "39 year determinate sentence plus a 50 – life indeterminate sentence to be served after the determinate term is complete. Under current California law, Mr. Titus would qualify for elder parole when he turns 60."
I added some of the sentencing information and April 12 court minutes to the previous post.
