Review hearing for sexually violent predator Joshua Cooley is scheduled this morning.
Before court this morning Rafael Loya from Liberty Healthcare was talking with Cooley's grandmother talking about all the people showing up to oppose the placement. Then Cooley's grandmother spoke with Conflict Counsel Supervising Attorney Meagan O'Connell privately, before court. Cooley's grandfather was present for court.
Loya spoke with Deputy District Attorney Stacey Eads before court. I heard a potential property has bern identified.
EPD Captains Brian Stephens and Patrick O'Neill were in court. Next hearing is September 17.
After identifying 118 properties in Sacramento County, there were no leads. 96 properties in Humboldt, one lead. That property has to be vetted by Liberty Health care.
No other media was in court. No community members.
