New offer made by DA in Wesley Starritt case

I had stopped covering Wesley Starritt's case in September 2018 when he was transported to the State Hospital. He was sent back and criminal proceedings were reinstated. Today, I just happened to be in the same courtroom covering another case so am doing an update.
Deputy Public DefenderLuke Brownfield told Judge Lawrence Killoran that he had received a new offer from the People and "the case is most likely to resolve."

Deputy District Attorney Steven Steward said while trial confirmation had been continued a few times, in the latest offer the District Attorney did not oppose probation. Another trial confirmation is scheduled for August 29.

Starritt had been arrested in January 2018 and charged with assault of Peter Ian Marks in an incident near 2nd and T. The alleged victim in this case  Peter Ian Marks was arrested in March 2018 for resisting arrest.

8/29: Case resolved. Three years probation. PPR report on September 25.
