"This past weekend it has been two years since the murder of Mr. Loftus."

This morning, a hearing on the motion to continue murder suspect David Kobak's jury trial was held. The reason was expert availability.


While Deputy District Attorney Whitney Timm agreed it was "good cause" and Deputy Public Defender Casey Russo had done "due diligence", she noted, "this past weekend it has been two years since the murder of Mr. Loftus."
The victim was Kobak's roommate, Frederick William Loftus.

Trial confirmation scheduled for September 25 and  jury trial scheduled for October 21 was vacated. Setting on September 5.
