Deal or no deal for Aaron Hungerford?

Jury trial was cheduled for Aaron Hungerford on August 26.  He had three cases, all from 2019. At trial confirmation last week, the People and defense could not agree on a resolution.

This morning at trial assignment, it started out as the same situation. Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees and Deputy Conflict Counsel Jennie Stepanian were able to work out a resolution.

Hungerford's case resolved with a plea. In the DUI case, Hungerford pleaded guilty and got probation with the standard terms. In the suspended license case, he pleaded to the charge as an infraction. In the domestic violence case, he only pleaded guilty to Count 2, vandalism. He did not get probation in that case but a 90 day jail sentence which is SWAP eligible. Hungerford will not be required to take domestic violence classes because he agreed to the jail sentence.
