Sentencing is scheduled for James Merrick this morning. On July 1, Merrick pleaded guilty to Count 2 gross vehicular manslaughter and amended special allegation of fleeing the crime scene. Rest of the counts were dismissed.
The conditional plea was for a 15 year prison sentence with Merrick agreeing to waive all credits up to sentencing. That was the final sentence today. Details below.
