Eureka City Council just did the roll call and Pledge of Allegiance. About 24 people are here but those numbers could fluctuate since a few people are here for proclamations. The number also includes Eureka Police Department Interim Chief Todd Jarvis and EPD Captain Brian Stephens.
Eureka Police Department and Humboldt Bay Fire dispatchers were just recognized to applause. Text 911 will be available soon. Brittany Wilson was given a shout out by her fellow dispatchers. Eureka Councilmember Natalie Arroyo read this proclamation.
Eureka Councilmember Kim Bergel read the proclamation for Sexual Assault Awareness Month. NorthCoast Rape Crisis Director Amanda LeBlanc spoke and thanked the Council.
I was going to cover the Police Oversight Board Ordinance but I have other news and work to do.
