I predicted this situation in my last post

Alderpoint homicide suspect Jake Combs had his preliminary hearing scheduled for a special set tomorrow. There was a hearing today on a defense motion to continue filed by the Public Defender's office. The motion to continue was granted due to new discovery and autopsy report.

The screenshot above is from my last post. I predicted this situation because there was good cause for this continuance. I wrote in my last post:

"If there is a  continuance because defense does not have crucial reports and discovery and Combs' attorney is in trial, are Humboldt Superior Court administration, Presiding Judge Gregory Elvine-Kreis and Judge Christopher Wilson going to apologize for the unnecessary pain to Earley's family?"

"The local court "powers to be, on a regular basis, don't care about anyone else's time and have continued the inefficient scheduling and organization of the last few years."

Deputy Public Defender Ben McLaughlin is Combs's attorney. Deputy District Attorney Jessica Acosta is the prosecutor.

The preliminary hearing was rescheduled to May 19. Will that be sufficient time or will I be saying ditto next month?
