A second lawsuit has been filed against Chris Barry and Shamus T Bones for alleged labor violations. This one is a 2023 case. Shamus and Barry are represented again by Janssen and Malloy but the attorney for this case is is Ms. Megan Yarnall. Jose Omar Sarabia Sanchez, the plaintiff is represented by Jean Hopkins Power. In a response, defendants asked the complaint be dismissed and judgement be entered against the plaintiff.
Last August, I reported that Martha Gonzalez was suing Chris Barry and Shamus T Bones for alleged violations of the Labor Code.
Gonzalez is represented by the Law Offices of J. Kirk Donnelly, a firm from Carlsbad. Ms. Amelia Burroughs of the local law firm Janssen Malloy is the attorney for Barry. In that case, on 12/22/22 attorneys tried mediation; there was another hearing on 3/13/23 Gonzalez's attorney was ready for trial but Shamus' attorney requested a 90 day continuance. Gonzalez's attorney agreed to 60 days. There a case management in that case on 5/22.
Defendant (response):
2/23/24: CMC continued by stipulation to 6/24.
5/20/24: CMC continued by Shamus to 9/20/24.
6/24/24: In the Martha Gonzalez v Shamus and Chris Barry, CMC continued to 9/30/24.
