Emboldened by Mendocino Judge Ann Moorman's last ruling, attorneys from Humboldt County, the Public Defender's Office, current Public Defender Luke Brownfield and former Public Defender Marek Reavis are asking that the action against them be dismissed in its entirety with prejudice and that they be awarded costs and other relief?

Proof of service was filed that former Humboldt County Public Defender Rory Kalin's attorneys from Hershey Law Firm and Mr. Patrik Griego who represents the remaining defendant, Humboldt Judge Gregory Kreis were served with this answer to the third amended complaint in the lawsuit 

This latest filing does not surprise me. I expected it from the moment the lawsuit was filed. Let's see if Mr. Griego files anything. If you read my blog regularly and  have read my coverage on others in Humboldt Superior Court including  Kreis, former court mediators Joe Hale and Velda Gooden and the mysterious "leave" and abscence of Humboldt Superior Court CEO Kim Bartleson, the question you should ask is are and will the PD's office, Luke and Marek stand by their buddy Greg or distance themselves strategically and professionally. Will GK be saying "Et tu Luke?" "Et tu Marek?" soon?

Word around the Courthouse cooler and community is Kreis sold his house and boat. Where is he living now? If the CJP, the CA Judicial Council and if this lawsuit is fairly decided, who knows what more will be revealed in the coming months?
