Former court mediator and Velda Gooden filed a request for a civil harassment restraining order against local attorney Eddie Schrock. Both are pro per.
In February 2023, I reported Gooden had been let go by Humboldt Superior Court. Gooden left her job as a former Victim Witness Advocate and took over court mediation after former court mediator Joe Hale was arrested for criminal invasion of privacy. Gooden previously worked for DHHS as a Vocational Counselor.
Several of you read my related post on Gooden. In that post, I mention a person. I did not identify that person because my communication with that person is confidential. I have my own experiences with that person, Gooden and Eddie and my own opinion on their credibility based on over a decade of covering Humboldt Superior Court and almost two years of living and working in Humboldt, including CWS.
Now Eddie has outed this person and mentioned Ryan Weinert in his official court response to the allegations against him. Court proceedings and documents in Gooden vs Schrock could end up containg information pertinent and shared with me by Weinert which included him telling me about Gooden. If that happens, Eddie, Gooden and Weinert have only themselves to blame.
If this matter proceeds to a hearing, not only will there be a lot of drama and the toxic nature of Humboldt family court be revealed, but what else will be exposed about the exit of former court mediator Joe Hale, the continued absence of Humboldt CEO Kim Bartleson and other overlap involving Humboldt Superior Court cases that I have mentioned for months?
Schrock intends to subpoena Gooden's emoyment records. Request for order/trial setting is scheduled for 5/25.
