Citizen's for a Better Eureka is probably paying this out of town lawyer big bucks, they should not screw up a basic POS

On April 6,  32 petitioners from Citizens for a Better Eureka filed a lawsuit against the City of Eureka over the city’s activities related to affordable and low-income housing projects on downtown parking lots. On May 4, another CEQA petition against the City of Eureka 5th and D parking lot was filed.

There haven't been any additional documents posted in the Humboldt Superior Court system for the second petition. I have been regularly checking the first petition and even did a post about no response from the City of Eureka.

The proof of service filed May 4 has no date or signatures. Citizen's for a Better Eureka's attorney Bradley Johnson also filed a writ on May 4. A summons was sent from Humboldt Superior Court on May 9 telling the City of Eureka they have 30 days to respond after the summons and legal papers have been served.

Citizen's for a Better Eureka is probably paying this out of town lawyer big bucks, they should not screw up a basic POS. Did they hire someone local to serve the papers, it would not surprise me because POS have been messed up by  "legal services." The Brian Leiteritz case was one example.

Mr. Johnson told a member of Citizens for a Better Eureka the City of Eureka had been properly served and that CEQA has different requirements.

I contacted City of Eureka and asked if they were served with both petitions. City of Eureka Attorney Autumn Luna responded, Yes. The City has been served in both cases."

I have included some  court documents below. The writ is lengthy and most of what is written has been covered previously. I  have included the first and last page.
