Only media are invited to an advisory this Friday for what CalPoly describes as a "groundbreaking ceremony for Cal Poly Humboldt’s Student Housing Project, which was made possible by the state’s historic $458 million state investment in the University’s polytechnic transformation."

"The project is the largest housing project in University history. It highlights the University’s commitment to provide affordable, high-quality housing for students."

These are the speakers:

Sherie Cornish Gordon, Vice President for Administration & Finance

Tom Jackson, Jr.—President, Cal Poly Humboldt

Larry L. Adamson—Alumni Trustee, California State University

Jenny Harris—Immediate Past Chair, Cal Poly Humboldt Foundation

Karen Diemer—City Manager, City of Arcata

Mike Fisher—Associate Vice President for Facilities Management, Cal Poly Humboldt
Juan Guerrero—President, Associated Students, Cal Poly Humboldt

I doubt the local media, especially those getting CalPoly ad dollars or having comnections to HSU will ask relevant questions. The advisory states this is not a public event.
