Patrick JamesIrvin Payton was booked into the Humboldt County jail yesterday on an arrest warrant for PC 311.11(a) possession of child pornography. Payton posted bail and is out of custody. The warrant is for a 2023 case that was filed on May 3. Arraignment is scheduled for 7/17.
7/17: Mr. Manny Daskal retained. Preliminary 9/12.
9/12: Another continuance requested by defense granted. Preliminary hearing continued to 10/11.
9/29: Deputy District Attorney Whitney Timm and Mr. Daskal had intervention with Judge Kelly Neel. By stipulation, 10/11 date vacated. Setting of preliminary hearing on 12/5.
12/5: Preliminary hearing scheduled for 2/7/24.
2/724: Entered conditional plea for no additional jail time, will be placed on probation and can ask for reduction to misdemeanor if he successfully completes probation. Sentencing on 3/14.
