I just received a couple of emails from Allen McCloskey. While he mentions my most recent post, I have done a few posts on this lawsuit. 

"Since the posting of your story we have heard from several families and have scheduled them for their written declarations to document their individual experiences with CWS and Humboldt County Sheriff's Department. Without the presence of your post having been able to reach these people, well, their voices may very well have never been heard in the context of these proceedings. This is huge and stands to help so many children. I cannot thank you enough for posting this news and not disregarding it as all the other local North Coast "news outlets" apparently have."


"I just got out of a meeting and we were discussing the fact that not one of the quote on quote major news outlets on the North Coast is covering the lawsuit story and the most recent news of the Civil Grand Jury echoing some of the very same concerns of department dysfunction and major deficiencies that have resulted in what can only be characterized as 'child abuse' and/or neglect. This is news. These are real people, real children, real abuse, real crisis and yet not news for them."
