21 year old alleged molestor and rapist Lucas Russell was arraigned on 5/15. The DA has charged him with 6 felonies and special allegations for Counts 1, 3, 4 and 6. Alleged victims are two Jane Does.
Public Defender's office was appointed. OR/bail hearing on 5/17. Preliminary hearing on 5/25.
5/17: Supervised release request withdrawn by defense without prejudice. Criminal protective order served. Request for discovery needs to be filed. Confirmation of preliminary hearing scheduled for 5/23.
5/23: Defense request to continue preliminary hearing granted. 5/25 date vacated. Preliminary rescheduled for 6/29.
6/29: Motion to continue by Conflict Counsel granted. Preliminary hearing rescheduled for 9/7.
9/7: Preliminary hearing continued to 10/19 because no courtroom available.
10/12: Preliminary hearing scheduled for 10/19 vacted and rescheduled for 10/26. On 10/12 people's motion to continue granted. Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees appeared for DA Whitney Timm. Ms Andrea Sullivan for Russell.
10/26: DA motion to continue was granted and preliminary hearing was continued to 12/6. Parent of alleged victim was unavailable.
