Convicted felon hauled out of court for allegedly marking court chair with his cuffs

Convicted felon Josiah Boulanger was in court today to be arraigned on information for his jury trial. On May 15, Boulanger was held to answer on the charge of felon in possession of ammunition.

I was waiting for another case to be called when I noticed the court bailiff and two other bailiffs approach Boulanger. "Do you want another charge?" , HCSO Deputy Josh Comer asked Boulanger who argued with the bailiffs and was taken from the courtroom to a holding cell until his case was called. Deputy Comer is in charge of all the court bailiffs.

Judge Kelly Neel asked the Courtroom One bailiff Richard Bise what the disruption was about and was told that Boulanger was using his cuffs to mark up the chair in the jury box.

Deputy District Attorney Whitney Timm stepped in for Deputy DA Roger Rees who was outside court discussing another case with a defense attorney. Conflict Counsel Supervising Attorney Meagan O'Connell had to appear with Boulanger because his attorney R.J. Leohner was not in the court when the case was called.
