In response to a recent outbreak in Eureka The Pentecostal Church, Public Health offered tests to members who may have been exposed

Twenty new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Humboldt County today, bringing the total number of county residents who have tested positive for the virus to 3,717.

After seeing the case rate decline for weeks, Humboldt County is currently experiencing an uptick in cases, many of which are related to one or more superspreader events.

In response to a recent outbreak in Eureka The Pentecostal Church, the Humboldt County Public Health Communicable Disease Response Team was on-site today offering testing to members of the church who may have been exposed.

Humboldt County Health Officer Dr. Ian Hoffman thanked church officials and members for their responsiveness and collaboration with Public Health. “We’re grateful for all they’re doing to protect each other and the community as a whole,” Dr. Hoffman said.
