No bail to $75 000 bail for Waterfront explosion suspect

Waterfront explosion suspect Darin Vitolo is currently in custody on no bail status. Bail was set at$75,000 today by Judge Lawrence Killoran. Vitolo has served time on his probation violation. At his attorney's request, Vitolo was remanded into custody on his other cases so he could accrue custody credits.

Vitolo had OR/bail hearing scheduled this afternoon. The hearing was continued to April 8.. Deputy Public Defender David Celli requested a supervised release report. There was information that was not provided and another report was requested.  Vitolo, according to Judge Killoran had multiple failures to appear and previous issues which raise concern about him being on supervised release.

I am not going into details of Mr. Celli's arguments, again. He is arguing for bail reduction and supervised release.

Trial assignment is scheduled for April 30; jury trial on May 3.

4/8: Vitolo is still in custody.
