Kyle Muhaw was arraigned on 12 counts this afternoon, served with a protective order and the Public Defender's office was appointed to represent him.
An OR/bail hearing is scheduled for April 22; preliminary hearing on April 29. Time was not waived.
Judge Lawrence Killoran said that Muhaw cannot post bail "based on the severity of charges and concern for a public safety."
Deputy District Attorney Candace Myers appeared in court today for the People. Deputy Public Defender Wade Orbelian was present on behalf of his office.
Muhaw's charges include: PC 273 a (a) , child endangerment; PC 245 (a) (2) assault with a firearm with a special allegation PC 12022. 5 (a) personal use of a firearm; PC 422 criminal threats with a special allegation PC 12022. 5 (a) personal use of a firearm; PC 246. 3(a) negligent discharge of a firearm; PC 18720 possession of materials to make a destructive device; PC 29800 (a) (1) felon in possession of a firearm; PC 30305 (a) (1) unlawful possession of ammunition; PC 273.5 corporal injury to spouse or cohabitant; PC 21810 possession of metal knuckles; PC 20410 possession of belt buckle knife and PC 667 (b) – (i) the "three strikes law" /prior convictions of serious and violent felonies.
