As I have mentioned previously a few times, I hope they offer the position to Conflict Counsel Supervising Attorney Meagan O'Connell. She has already served as Interim Public Defender and did a good job.
The tolling attachment pertains to labor negotiations, which is another item in closed session and there was nothing in that attachment to indicate whether and why it was related to the threatened litigation.
The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors are meeting in closed session to discuss threatened litigation and the position of Public Defender.
