Confirmation of counsel and trial setting was scheduled for Timothy Ziegler.
Sacramento attorney Steve Whitworth whose profile describes him as an experienced criminal defense attorney representing people with state and federal crimes has been retained by Ziegler.
At Mr. Whitworth's request, trial setting was scheduled for May 12 so that he could get all the discovery. A general time waiver was entered.
Deputy District Attorney Steven Steward is the prosecutor.
5/12: Mr. Whitworth is still working with the Public Defender's office to get all the discovery. With that caveat, trial confirmation is scheduled for August 9; jury trial for August 16.
There are five law enforcement witnesses, the alleged victim and civilian witnesses. Time estimate is three weeks.
