Another sexually violent predator housed at Coalinga that has a history of reoffending

Lenard Chester, a sexually violent predator, who was housed at Coalinga State Hospital was arrested last week for the unsolved murder of a 81 year old woman. She was also raped and beaten. He was taken from the State Hospital to County jail. Chester is being held without bail. Arraignment is on June 3.

From VCStar:

In his previous conviction, Chester was sentenced “to 44 years in state prison from Ventura County in March 1982 for robbery with a firearm, rape, vehicle theft, and assault,” according to Vicky Waters, a spokeswoman for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

“Per the law, he received day-for-day credit earning and was released to parole supervision in December 2008. He was subsequently discharged from parole supervision in December 2011,” Waters wrote in an email to The Star.

Once he was paroled, prosecutors were involved in a civil commitment hearing where the court determined Chester should be listed as a “sexually violent predator.” The court ordered him to be placed on a civil hold and be sent to a state hospital for treatment, Oxnard police said.

  1. And this is one of how many waste of oxygen "mentally ill" Murders waiting to be set on us again. I love California, born and raised here, if we keep going down this socialist road we are screwed.
