Lila Ortega finally made it to court this morning for her warrant surrender. Ortega is charged with DUI and possession of meth.
She flashed me a look as she walked up to the bar and then sassed Commissioner Frances Greenleaf on the dates for her failure to appear. She was not in court in March and May but opened her mouth to correct the Commissioner it was May.
Deputy Conflict Counsel Leslie Keig appeared in court. Deputy District Attorney StevenSteward asked the case be moved from early resolution court to the home court. The warrant was recalled. Ortega was not remanded into jail today.
Ortega then decided to resolve the case. Plea details shortly. She has a June 15 commit to jail date.
