Seng Yang argues with his attorney in front of jurors and requests a Marsden motion

Closing arguments seemed ready to.proceed in Seng Yang's case. The People's power presentation was on screen.

Yang argued with his attorney, Deputy Public Defender Luke Brownfield and tried again to speak in court. Yang said "Sir" and Judge John Feeney said," You know you have to speak through Mr. Brownfield."

Yang requested a Marsden motion. At 10:20, Judge John Feeney excused the jurors for 10 minutes. The Marsden motion  was denied. Defense is not presenting any evidence. They are not required to do so.

From 10:35 a.m. to 11:10 a.m., Judge Feeney read closing jury instructions. We are on break. Ms. Eads is expected to start her closing arguments when court resumes.
