Three guilty pleas to felony and no immediate release from custody could settle David Anderson case

Convicted human trafficker David Anderson's jury trial is going to proceed.

On February 11, Judge Lawrence Killoran heard arguments on the 995 motion for Count 1. He was going to issue a written ruling.

Deputy District Attorney Stacey Eads is the prosecutor for this case. Mr. Michael Acosta is Anderson's attorney.

According to sources, there is a 85 per cent chance that Anderson could settle today. Even before the ruling on the 995 motion, the plea agreement being discussed involves a guilty plea to three felonies, and no immediate release from custody.

9:49 update from this morning: 995 motion regarding Count 1 was granted. People need to decide if they want to refile. So far, only 42 jurors have completed the long form questionnaire. Judge Wilson's preference is to have at least 80 people for a jury panel. Motions in limine are scheduled for later this week; individual jurors could start being questioned as early as this Friday.
