Kent Sawatzky has threatened litigation because he cannot see every Board member during meetings

Pissed that he cannot rant in person and take up every bit of the three minutes he is allowed for public comment, Humboldt resident loony toon Kent Sawatzky has sent a cease and desist letter to the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors.

He is threatening litigation and a Brown Act Violation because the entire Board is not visible to the public "at once." The Board is meeting via Zoom due to COVID 19.

The letter does not have an attorney listed.

I have written a few posts about Kent Sawatzky.  You can access them via the search feature on the blog or Google.

The issue about transparency and access by the public to government meetings, government buildings and courts is a valid one. We are entering the second year of over the top COVID 19 restrictions which have been abused and used as an excuse by local government and local courts and all over California.

It is unfortunate that Kent Sawatzky, who most people do not take seriously, is taking action while others just sit back in apathy and do nothing.

At least Kent Sawatzky speaks up, showed up at meetings when they were open to the public, reads up on issues and puts efforts into improving the community.
