Setting of preliminary hearing for murder suspects Travontae Hutson and Ian Pease was scheduled this morning. February 25 is the next court date.
Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer is the prosecutor for both cases. The DA's motion to consolidate was granted. Both defense attorneys did not object but reserved the right to file a severance if "further facts arise."
Hutson is now represented by Mr. Zachary Curtis. Ms. Andrea Sullivan who was court appointed had a conflict. Pease has retained Ms. Kathleen Bryson.
Perry Bailey, the victim, has been previously represented by Ms. Bryson in criminal cases.
