Besides holding up a package disposition for his two co-defendants and a continuance to their preliminary hearing, frequently arrested and convicted felon Markis Shirley got arraigned on a new case and added $750,000 to his bail amount.
Shirley has two strikes and multiple life sentences in several cases and they were also on calendar today.
4/5: I am not keeping up with Shirley's current cases but his case was on this morning in the same courtroom with other cases I was covering. Trial confirmation is on May 10; jury trial for May 24 in one of his cases.
His attorney, Mr. Zachary Curtis, had to stop him from talking about his case in court. Shirley wants to discuss a motion to dismiss.
