Assistant principal arrested on sex abuse charges involving a minor


Matthew Lin Johnson, an assistant principal at Oak Hills High School in San Bernardino County, was arrested and booked into jail on child abuse charges involving a girl who was 7 and 8 years old at the time of the alleged crimes. She is 10 years old now. The alleged victim and Johnson knew each other.

Johnson is being held on a no bail status. He is scheduled to appear in court on February 17.

Johnson was booked om charges that include continuous sexual abuse of a minor and lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14.  

At this time, there is no evidence that Johnson has had any “inappropriate contact with students at the school" but authorities said the investigation is ongoing.
