Pre trial for Kailan Meserve's writ of habeas corpus was scheduled this morning was continued to March 3. The evidentiary hearing is on March 29.
Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer had to email Meserve's attorney, Mr. Manolo Olaso, who was a no show.
3/3 update: Today, Mr.Olaso told Judge Christopher Wilson that the medical procedures mentioned in previous posts had been delayed and recovery was expected end of April/early May and requested a motion to continue.
Ms. Schaffer said petitioner had good cause. Judge Wilson granted the request for continuance.
The March 29 date was vacated. Pre trial is on May 5; evidentiary hearing is on May 17. Time estimate is a week.
5/4: Another continuance due to Meserve's attorney schedule and rehabilitation from medical treatment. Pre trial on August 9; evidentiary hearing on August 23.
