Organizers for "Recall Gavin 2020" have more than 1.5 million signatures, the threshold required to place the proposal on this year's ballot. The signatures still need to be verified.
The Republican National Committee donated $250,000 and the California GOP gave $125,000 to the recall effort.
Small businesses, working people and Californians fed up with public safety policies that embolden criminals and Newsom's disaster in handling the COVID 19 pandemic have led to many Californians signing the petition.
Newsom has worsened the bad policies during a pandemic that has further devastated people's finances and savings and is going to cause more closures of businesses as well as people losing a roof over their heads. Other than privileged liberals and top level government bureaucrats; no one is benefitting from Newsom's mismanagement. There are plenty of Democrats who work in the private industry in California and plenty of people who are going to chose their pocketbook over a party registration.
The recall effort has a good chance of succeeding, does the Democratic elite want to take that chance?
