The following personnel were awarded the Unit Commendation Award for meritorious service while assigned to the Eureka Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Section and Problem Orientated Policing Unit for their diligent work on a May 2020 homicide investigation.
Detective Sergeant Greg Hill, Detective Sergeant Terry Liles, Senior Detective Ronald Harpham, Senior Detective Amber Cosetti, Detective Richard Bise, Detective Corrie Watson, Detective Joseph Couch, Detective Nicholas Dalby, Detective Jonathan Eckert, Evidence Technician Carly Balk and Assistant Evidence Technician Traci Gagnon.
The investigation showcased the importance of teamwork. The arrest of the suspect greatly enhanced the safety of the community and brought justice to the victim, and his family.
The actions of the above-mentioned individuals, bring credit upon themselves, the Eureka Police Department and the City of Eureka.
