Further trial confirmation was scheduled for alleged rapist Joseph Hall this morning. Another trial confirmation is scheduled for February 22.

Jury trial scheduled for March 1 maybe continued at the next hearing. Defense cannot confirm as they are still waiting on an expert report.

Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer is the prosecutor for the case. Deputy DA Roger Rees appeared on the case for the People today. Deputy Public Defender Wade Orbelian is Hall's attorney. 

A few days ago, I received a message from someone regarding this case. The first message is an excerpt from our conversation. Any identifying information has been cropped.

2/22 update: Still no report from defense expert. Mr. Orbelian asked March 1 jury trial be vacated and a trial setting be scheduled in April.

Ms. Schaffer waived written notice since Mr. Orbelian had informed her of his reason and request. She said this being a time waived case, it would be unlikely to proceed on March 1 but she objected on behalf of the alleged victim.

Finding good cause based on readiness of counsel, Judge Wilson granted the defense request.

Trial setting is scheduled on April 5.
