Second suspect arrested in connection with Perry Bailey homicide

A second suspect has been arrested in connection to a homicide occurring last month in Samoa.

Last week, Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office investigators received information that a second suspect wanted in connection to the homicide of 34-year-old Perry Bailey on Nov. 15, 2020, was possibly staying in Del Norte County. The suspect, identified as 30-year-old Ian Rose, also known as Ian Pease, was located in Crescent City on December 18. When California Highway Patrol officers attempted a traffic stop on Rose, he fled. Rose was taken into custody following a brief pursuit.

Rose was booked into the Del Norte County Correctional Facility on a felony warrant for accessory to murder, in addition to evading a peace officer (VC 2800.2), driving without a license (VC 12500(A)) and resisting a peace officer (PC 148).
