On Dec. 6, 2020, at about 3 a.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 70 block of Abbott Lane near Arcata for the report of a stabbing that had just occurred.
While enroute to the residence, deputies located the 33-year-old male victim outside a vehicle at the Alder Grove Marsh parking area. The victim was discovered to have multiple laceration injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
During their investigation, deputies learned that the victim had been attending a party at the residence on Abbott Lane when he reportedly got into an altercation with the suspect, 28-year-old Dylan Matthew Hagmann. At some point during this altercation, Hagmann reportedly assaulted the victim with an improvised weapon. The victim was able to flee to safety.
Deputies conducted a search of the residence but were unable to locate Hagmann.
Dylan Hagmann is described as a white male adult, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall and 145 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes. Hagmann is wanted on charges of assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm (PC 245(A)(1)).
