So when exactly was the money for the pig "donated"?

So after my post on Ray Christie purchasing the pig from the Honsal family, sources told me "the money Ray paid for the pig was donated to another cause and another person bought the pig for $4000. The Sheriff called Ray's money 'Dirty Money'."



Some of the sources got this information from a Fair Board member. The same sources said, this was after my post." The money was donated to a charity.

Several people read the post about the FFA and were happy money was raised. As usual, with others, the Humboldt Facebook drama followed.

People should read posts and articles.  Even if they do, they selectively ignore facts that don't suit their spin and agenda. Jaime, did you read the post that you are commenting about? If you did, it mentions why the animals weren't returned this year. It also mentions that Christie bought other animals this year, not just Jack Honsal's pig. Your husband was a former CHP officer. I heard you live in Arizona, now. You, like many others in or associated with this small town have friends and alliances that affect your filter. Speaking of money, did you keep the money Christie paid for your son's cow?

You are free to have your opinion about Sheriff  William Honsal, Ray Christie or the court case, just as others are free to question if your opinion has a bias. The problem with opinions is when you ignore facts.

Jaime, Sheriff Honsal was free to respond to me, my post or put out a statement, including about the money being donated. So was the FFA.  I would like to know when exactly this money was donated and why?

Do you have equally strong feelings about these add on contributors?

Andy Titus should answer his phone. He was the first one I called for the first post.

I haven't seen Sheriff Honsal in months. l have reached out to him via email and text about COVID 19 enforcement and a couple of other times. Never heard back. He certainly has had time to post photos and do video interviews. Usually, he is very responsive.

I have always been fair and respectful to Billy. With these recent posts, I am curious how Sheriff Honsal will be the next time I see him. Professional or not?

It wouldn't be the first sign of unprofessionalism in this small, rural town where doing actual reporting is unwelcome by those with a problem with truth and accountability.

Fortuna PD won't send press releases or call back media who don't report "the Humboldt way." Nor do certain politicians and certain casinos.

In other places, it is not hard to contact and get people to respond. I have reported in other places in the country. This kind of nonsense may be okay behind the Redwood Curtain or Emerald Triangle but if you want to be taken seriously in the country or world, then it is time to be professional and transparent.
