The People's last witness is expected to testify tomorrow. They haven't called an expert so I assume that is the witness. I am curious to see if it is Dr.Anthony Urquiza. If it is, I have watched him testify many times and can add the gist of his testimony. The basics apply to other sexual abuse cases and victims.

I know who the paid defense expert is as I watched her testimony during motions in limine.

While I understand why these experts are presented to the jury, no expert in any kind of court case states with certainty if the defendant is innocent or guilty. They do take up hours because they love to talk and give their opinion. Add that to Public Defender Marek Reavis' drawn out questioning which yields nothing, , not much to write about tomorrow at the Mark Dare trial from the experts.

Like most cases in Humboldt, there is more to the Mark Dare trial.

Someone following my coverage on the Mark Dare case told me the Dare family is involved in the cattle business. We didn't get to chat long enough for the person to say whether Mark Dare is specifically involved in making a living through the family business but knows Mark Dare and the family. This does explain Mark Dare's arrogance.

I also have heard about Mark Dare and his family from others in the community and some of his church members.

Windy Dare was married to Dennis Winder, a hard working, blue collar, respectable guy. A man, who even up to the point the allegations of sexual abuse were made, treated her new husband with a lot of civility and respect.  Yes, he warned Mark Dare not to physically touch his girls. Any father would. Any real man would.

Winder seems to be the only parent who was there for Jane Doe # 1 and # 2, to believe them, support them and give them a normal life.

Windy Dare stayed silent while Mark Dare yelled at her daughters and left a bruise on one daughter's arm. She completely abandoned them when they needed her most.

Windy Dare abandoned her daughters for her second husband Mark Dare. A man who worked for the same local TV station, a fake Christian elder, and someone who comes from a family involved in the cattle business. Public Defender Marek Reavis must have been successful in getting his motion granted to exclude Mark Dare's prior conviction for misdemeanor domestic violence and substance abuse.

I could not watch all the motions because I do have other cases and livestream does not always work. Now there are restrictions being placed on when media can be in local court and a lot of these is from meddlers who have done nothing. Compared to what I or others have done for sexual abuse survivors, where are these meddlers and what personal risks have they taken? There are many cases that no one cared about in local media, except for me. Typical Humboldt. This would not happen in a bigger town and city.

Money speaks in life. In corrupt Humboldt, it is life. So many cases end up in court because government agencies, the law and those meant to protect people fail to do their job if you are poor or are not in the approved, well connected local clique.

The only exception to this is EPD and Humboldt Bay Fire. I am so thankful for them.

There are so many fathers and stepfathers who have sexually abused their daughters in this County for decades. So many specifics told to me but without mentioning names. Locals live in fear. Instances where nurses reported abuse only to have it covered up. Instances where a local judge sat in a case where the father taunted his daughter in court in graphic terms about the actual abuse. Despite this affecting the Judge, he had to do his job and see the case through properly.

Like most places, Humboldt has Pharisees, Sadducees and Jerry Falwell Christians. How you behave in private is not a secret to God and your hypocrisy outside church is not a secret to God. Those who truly believe in God and in Jesus Christ, honor HIM at all times and do not put power, money and social prestige before HIM. You tithe to corrupt man made instititions while sitting by idly allowing others you should be helping to suffer. You give money so you can be recognized to  man made churches instead of supporting those who serve God. Do you really think you can buy your way into heaven?
