President Trump scheduled to visit California Monday for update on wildfires

President Donald is scheduled to visit McClellan Park on Monday to be briefed by local, federal and fire emergency officials on the wildfires. McClellan Park has served as the base for firefighter operations in California.



In August, President Trump approved a major disaster declaration for California. On Thursday, the White House approved an emergency declaration for Oregon. According to the White House spokesman Judd Deere and California Governor Gavin Newsom,  President Trump has been in contact with California since mid August. Oregon Governor Kate Brown said President Trump spoke with her Thursday.
