Bench warrants issued for Rob Christensen and Judge Cockrum comments on him racking up cases while out of custody

Rob Christensen had 7 cases on calendar today.  Four from 2019, three from 2020 which includes the one case he was arraigned on August 31.

He had a preliminary hearing scheduled this morning and arraignments. Bench warrants were issued but held and the total amount was $25,000  for three different cases.

Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees appeared for the People. Deputy Public Defender Adrian Kamada said that Deputy Public Defender David Celli said Christensen was present earlier. When his case was called, Christensen was not there. Mr. Kamada said he would have Christensen come in to be arraigned, if bench warrants were held. "He is in the midst of a mental health diversion," said Mr. Kamada.

Judge Kaleb Cockrum ordered Christensen to personally appear at the next court date which is September 14. "He is out of custody and continues to bring in low level cases," said Judge Cockrum.

  1. "in the midst of a mental health diversion". Does that mean he was 5250'd?
