"I just discovered my client is pregnant. We may have to put it over after birth."




Trial confirmation was scheduled on January 6 for Samantha Luna. Jury trial  scheduled for January 21 was vacated. 



Deputy District Attorney Jessica Acosta and Luna's attorney, Mr. William Panzer spoke before court.

Ms. Acosta told Judge Christopher Wilson that the January jury trial will not proceed. Discovery has been provided to defense but a supplemental report wasjust  provided to Mr. Panzer. "Defense counsel has given me oral notice of a motion to compel. Defense has also requested some training documents of Sgt. Janelle Jackson."

The District Attorney requested a continuance. Defense stipulated to the motion to continue and it was granted.

"I just discovered my client is pregnant," said Mr. Panzer. We may have to put it over after birth."

Setting of jury trial and motion to compel is scheduled for February 10.
