Visalia couple lured thieves with a bike, then beat them and posted videos on You Tube

"Violent Crimes detectives investigated a series of assaults that had occurred in the 200 block of E. Dove. These assaults began in July 2019 through November 2019.

The assaults were posted by the suspects on YouTube. In the videos, it appears as if the suspects planted a bicycle in the front yard of their residence, unsecured, and waited for someone to try and steal the bicycle.

Once someone tried to steal the bike, the suspects would rush from the house and assault the individual with a baseball bat. The victims in the cases received various non-life threatening injuries.

At this point, four individuals have been identified as having been assaulted by the suspects. Both suspects were located today and booked for Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Conspiracy charges. " Visalia Police Department

According to a Fox News article, "Corey Cornutt, and Savannah Grillot claimed they were robbed the first night they spent in their Visalia home after a burglar broke into their car. A few nights later, another burglar allegedly broke into their car again."

"They both became hyper-vigilant and decided to take a proactive stance in defending their home, using the bike as bait. After beating on the perpetrators who came to steal it, Cornutt and Grillot would later post the videos to Youtube."

"No one was arrested or charged for attempted theft because Cornutt and Grillot never made an official report to law enforcement.
