This blog was the only one to cover convicted human trafficker David Anderson's three jury trials and plea for his first arrest for this crime in detail. It was the first local human trafficking case to make the news. After his plea, there was some mention in other media.
With his second arrest for the same crime, his case will get more coverage. Anderson is not the only one victimizing local women. Anyone who follows this blog regularly knows that and knows that regular, detailed and many cases have been covered on this blog ignored elsewhere.
Kudos to the City of Eureka and Mayor Susan Seaman for raising awareness about this very important issue.
Local organizations like Soroptomist and churches like Faith Center have been active in raising awareness on human trafficking.
