There is a reason Carter House is a premier destination for tourists and locals

If you have not been to the Carter House lately, this holiday season treat yourself. Just the Christmas tree in the lobby will cheer you up.

There is a reason Carter House is the premier destination for tourists and locals. The owners, especially Mark Carter, has a knack for choosing stellar employees just as his excellent taste in fine wines and elegant cuisine.

A few months ago, Carter House's new manager James Dalmida arrived in town and he has been busy. Jim is very personable and a great addition to the Carter House team.

Carter House also has a new chef Olivia Resendes. The title is new but Chef Resendes started as a dishwasher almost 5 years ago and worked her way up.

"She is only 24 and has the drive and visionary excellence of someone who is young and ambitious yet the meticulousness of an experienced chef when it comes to her food," according to Elizabeth Hamb who is the Food, Beverage and Event Coordinator. If you are a regular at Carter House, Elizabeth needs no introduction.

Elizabeth started at the Carter House "almost 7 years ago as a breakfast server and worked my way up- including getting a WSET level 2 wine certification as well as becoming a Certified Specialist of Wine through the Society of Wine Educators."

For the holiday season, Carter House is
offering their regular menu with several Holiday themed specials with traditional Christmas style spiral ham as well as an indulgent duck special. Holiday hours will be extended to 3:00 - 9:00 the evening of Christmas.

On New Year's Eve, there will be a special dessert buffet with 'all you can drink' sparkling wine  from  11:00PM - just after midnight.

Call Carter House at 1-800-404-1390 for more information.
