There is natural beauty but it is people like Marshall who make Humboldt shine

(HCSO)

Kudos to Humboldt County Sheriff sharing about Marshall Spalding. There are so many others, including myself, that have similar stories about him. In the 16 years I have lived here, I have met many people.

He is a kind, genuine man and always has a positive attitude. What Marshall did for the dispatchers is what he does every day for many people.

This is a man who after being at work at two jobs, without hesitation, will give someone a ride to the doctor or the store.  He will share his only meal at work.  Marshall remembers specifics about each and every person.

HCSO:

"Most people that work at the Sheriff’s Office know Marshall, the kind man who owns Courthouse Market across the street from our Main Station. Marshall is an incredible supporter of our local law enforcement and always treats our dispatchers, deputies, and correctional deputies with kindness. Knowing many of our men and women were working hard last night while their families were at home celebrating Christmas and not wanting them to feel left out, Marshall brought our dispatchers an amazing Christmas dinner. Not only that, the dinner was prepared by his daughter… for him to eat. He sacrificed his own Christmas dinner so that our dispatchers could feel loved and he refused to take no for an answer!"

"Thank you, Marshall, for being such a kind neighbor and helping care for our dispatchers. Our dispatchers were moved by the kindness and generosity shown to them last night. We are always so in awe of the support and acts of kindness displayed in our #Humboldt community. We are so thankful to serve all of the people of our beautiful county. It’s true, there’s #noplacelikehome."

"In honor of Marshall, we challenge you to one #RandomActofKindness for someone in need in your community this holiday season! Whether it’s a plate of food, a drink at your local coffee shop, or just holding the door open with a smile, let’s end 2019 with a little bit of love. "
