" Today might be the last day. We got in trouble again. The Judge likes to spank us."

Ray Christie jury was told to return at 9:15 a.m. on December 16.

Overheard Juror # 11 in the cafe telling the owner at the Courthhouse say, " Today might be the last day. We got in trouble again. The Judge likes to spank us."

Fortunately, only I was in the cafe at the time.

At 9:43, Juror #5 was called in by herself, again. She came out at 9:48. Then juror #7 was called in; she is the foreperson. She came out at 9:55.

Two other jurors hugged Juror # 5. She gathered her belongings and left.

After she was discharged and the jury resumed deliberations, I saw her at the cafe.

 She went up to the cafe to thank the owner and employees. " This is my last day." She said goodbye to us. She is a nice person but it was clear to most of us observing that following rules or the law was a challenge for her.
